Jackson Township Council Reorganizes; Burnstein Elected President

NJ JACKSON — Jackson Township reorganizes with new Council leadership for 2026. Mordechai Burnstein was elected Council President by a 4-1 vote, succeeding Mayor Jennifer Kuhn, with Giuseppe Palmeri named Council Vice President in a separate 4-1 vote. Burnstein and Palmeri's oaths were administered.

The Council approved a temporary operating budget of $14,202,610.54 and 61 resolutions covering professional services appointments and routine annual business; Councilman Christopher Pollak dissented on 14 resolutions, opposing political donations' influence on government contracts.
